Trust & Compliance

Our commitment to data privacy, ethical AI, and platform responsibility. Last updated: July 2026.

Privacy First

Designed with data minimization and secure architecture principles from day one.

Responsible AI

AI models act as assistants. You maintain complete control over hiring decisions.

Data Control

You own your data. Deleting accounts and boards permanently purges candidate records.

1. Compliance Philosophy

At Recruitarian, we believe that modern recruitment tools must be built on a foundation of trust, transparency, and responsibility. We are committed to designing our platform with privacy-first principles and ethical AI frameworks.

Our compliance philosophy focuses on aligning our technological capabilities with international data protection standards while empowering you, the recruiter, to make fair and informed hiring decisions.

2. Data Privacy & GDPR Alignment

We handle candidate resumes, job descriptions, and recruiter data with the utmost care. Recruitarian is designed with privacy principles in mind and is actively working toward full alignment with GDPR and CCPA requirements.

While we are not currently formally certified under these frameworks, we have implemented essential data privacy practices, including:

  • Data Minimization: We only process the data necessary to provide our core AI analysis services.
  • User-Controlled Deletion: You have the ability to permanently delete candidates, Hiring Boards, and your account at any time, which triggers the complete purging of associated records from our active databases.

3. AI Transparency & Ethical Hiring

Recruitarian leverages advanced Large Language Models to assist your hiring workflow. We believe in "Human-in-the-Loop" recruitment.

AI Assists; Humans Decide: Our Match Scores, summaries, and generated interview questions are strictly informational recommendations. They are designed to augment your workflow, not replace human judgment. You are always responsible for the final evaluation of a candidate's qualifications and character.

We actively monitor our prompts and AI integration patterns to mitigate unintended biases in resume parsing.

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a user of Recruitarian, you remain the data controller for the candidate information you upload. Therefore, you are responsible for:

  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring your hiring practices comply with local employment laws, EEO regulations, and anti-discrimination statutes.
  • Candidate Consent: Verifying that you have the legal right or explicit consent to upload and process a candidate's resume through a third-party software platform.
  • Independent Verification: Independently verifying candidates' education, work history, and references, as Recruitarian LLC does not perform background checks.

5. Third-Party Subprocessors

We partner with industry-leading infrastructure providers to deliver our platform. We only use the following core subprocessors:

  • Vercel: Application hosting, edge networking, and content delivery.
  • Supabase: Secure PostgreSQL database hosting and file storage.
  • Clerk: Enterprise-grade user authentication and identity management.
  • OpenAI: Large Language Model API provider (configured under Enterprise terms to strictly prohibit the training of global models using your data).
  • Dodo Payments: Secure subscription billing and payment processing.

6. Future Compliance Roadmap

Trust is an ongoing journey. As Recruitarian grows, we are actively planning our compliance maturity roadmap. Our future compliance objectives include:

  • SOC 2 Type II Certification: Independent auditing of our security, availability, and confidentiality controls.
  • ISO 27001 Certification: Formal validation of our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Formal GDPR/DPA Execution: Providing standard Data Processing Agreements for enterprise customers.

Note: These are planned objectives and do not represent current certifications.
